Webinar summary
On Friday, March 17, we held a very interesting webinar on the topic of label information. In particular, we talked about what information should be indispensable.
The webinar speaker was Massimo Montersino, the quality manager of the AndCommunication agency active in the packaging sector, particularly food.
Ninety percent of consumers routinely read product labels during purchase, looking for both specific and legal information.
However, marketing needs, legally mandated information, and selling in different markets (with the consequent need to translate into content) often make labels unreadable or overcrowded, creating frustration in consumers and impacting sales.
Not to mention the need to add over-labels, stickers, or other elements to highlight product novelties or promotions!
Massimo addressed 4 main points:
when Law wins over Marketing, when those who write the Laws are not clear on the subject
the importance of the relationship with quality offices,
the regulations regarding mandatory elements on labels,
best practices for multilingual labels.
What did this webinar leave you with that was important?
Massimo explained that in order to manage labels properly, it is crucial that there is constant communication with manufacturers' quality offices.
In fact, quality offices should understand how important dialogue is between them and between those who make the label.
The speaker also elaborated on the standards to be known as:
GS1/Indicod,
1169,
Regulations on disposal symbols,
PGI/DOP,
BIO.
In short, to learn how to ask the right questions you need to know the regulations well.
Thanks to Massimo and all the participants.
See you at the next webinar!
