In this highly competitive sector, product quality may not be enough to be chosen on the shelf by those who do not know your brand. Wine bottle label printing allows the creation of an attractive design, playing with visual and tactile enhancements can increase the perception of product quality.

Strengthened by our partnership with Fedrigoni, we can collaborate in the selection of special materials, combine all existing printing techniques and thus create the label that will satisfy the needs of each customer.

A good label is the imprint of what we are and what represents us

For this product which represents one of the Italian excellences, we provide a multitude of materials to allow you to best express the qualities of the brand.

Taking away the design component, however, it must also be remembered that there are regulation for wine labelling.

Some information must be easily readable on the labels for wine bottles, for example the indications on the bottler, including the place of bottling and the alcohol content, this also expresses the transparency of the brand at a marketing level.

Production of wine labels: What can we do for you?

The wine market has very fertile ground with many opportunities to exploit. Alkam Wine Experience was created to support wineries to seize opportunities and transform them into value.

We have experience in various strategic sectors, to allow you to enhance your brand and your product, also giving you the possibility of customizing the label with the help of a technical expert.

With what materials do we print your wine labels?

The specific materials for labeling wine bottles represent a font choicedamental.

An effective design will not have the desired effect if printed on an unsuitable material.

The materials available vary from coated papers to natural papers in all their connotations.

For particular needs and upon customer request we also use plastic materials.

The main finishing techniques we offer to create labels for wine bottles are: hot stamping, screen printing and embossing.

Hot foil stamping:

This technology allows a metallized film to be transferred onto the material via a magnesium/brass cliché

(which can have different colorsgold, silver, etc.).

This transfer occurs by heating the cliché up to a temperature that can even reach 130-140 degrees.

Screen printing:

Screen printing uses frames made of interwoven threads. Using this system it is possible to transfer a large quantity of ink onto the material, managing to obtain a relief effect, which if desired can be, in its maximum extension, a braille print.

With silk-screen paint you can print colors or make matt and glossy paints with a high visual impact.

Goffrathour:

By using very thick materials, such as those dedicated to the wine sector, it is possible to carry out a mechanical relief with special systems, to give the label a much appreciated cantilever effect.

The Personalization

Fine wines and sparkling wines require a high-quality presentation to give the potential buyer a positive first impression of the product. In addition to the correct design of the bottle, a custom label is very often required to stand out from the competition and make the product recognizable..

Whether it's white, red, rosé or sparkling wine, we can produce custom wine labels of any shape without excessive costs. In addition to providing the best printing quality of custom wine labels and we can offer the most effective finishes that we mentioned above.

Application Examples

Each project has characteristics that differentiate them from others, for this reason at Alkam we design and create the solution that best suits the product.

Our experience in the sector has allowed us to collaborate with important wineries, dressing their finished product with a tailor-made label. This is the case of the Total Black Look Label, specifically designed to enhance our customer's bottle. In this project, the challenge was to convey the intense black, typical of this robust wine, even before tasting. For this reason, Tintoretto Black Pepper paper was chosen: a black-based paper, with an intense colour, which avoids having the white border of the die-cutting which could dampen the communicative power of the packaging. Finally, we can help you make your pack 100% sustainable with our expertise in green packaging: the use of supports derived from sustainable and non-polluting raw materials. The Regulations

Apart from the design, however, it should also be kept in mind that in Italy there is a regulation for wine labelling. Some information, such as bottler information, including location of bottling and alcohol content, must be easily readable on wine labels.

The matter is regulated by the Ministry of Agricultural and Forestry Policies on the basis of community legislation. Many quality wines often feature three labels: one on the front of the bottle, one on the back and a ring around the neck. However, it is not necessary to apply all three labels to the wine bottle. In fact, it is possible to insert all the data and information on a single label. Below, we report the mandatory information to appear on labels for wine produced in Italy: •Region of origin •Specific denomination (e.g. D.O.C., D.O.C.G., I.G.T.) •Year of bottling •Name or company name of the bottler •Place of bottling •Italy •Quantity expressed in ml •Total alcohol indicated in % Vol. •Clearly legible ecological indications •Clearly legible batch number preceded by the letter L
